GPS ANNUAL DINNER 2018
On Wednesday, 12th September, 2018, Gospel Patrons came together at the GPS Annual Dinner to give thanks to God for what he has achieved through the transformational work of MTS.
Andrew Grimes, Chairman of GPS, interviewed an MTS Trainer and Apprentice from South Australia. Patrons heard from keynote speaker, Eric Thurston, MTS’ Director of Training, who spoke on 2 Timothy 3:16-17 -
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness,
so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”
Ben Pfahlert, MTS’ National Director, updated Patrons on the plan for Branching Out for Gospel Growth. Expanding on last year’s commitment to a 10 year plan of growth in apprentice numbers from supporting new ministries in:
Region & Rural Churches/Ministries
MTS MTS (Ministry Training for Women)
Mentac MTS (Church Missionary Society)
Reaching Everyday People MTS
GPS is aiming to support 17 MTS Apprentices in 2018 through seed funding (up to $5,000 per apprentice per annum). The cost for this seed funding in 2018 is $70,000. Our target for the dinner was to raise $50,000 to contribute to this seed funding, with the remaining $20,000 to be raised the MTS Apprentice Ride.*
So far, $23,500 has so far been raised toward this $50,000 target.
Can you please consider donating to the seed funding of 17 MTS Apprentices in 2018?
*The MTS Apprentice Ride is a fundraising initiative of MTS to register 20 lycra-loving bike enthusiasts to each raise sponsors with a target of riding 10,000kms collectively by the end of October 2018.
